Pushers of Power

I remember as a young fella looking up to the pipemen who flooded the surrounding neighborhoods with their heavily addictive product. The stroll they took, the motions throughout there stride. Whether they made palm trades or were just walking to check out the goings on within that particular corner or area. I took note of all of there actions. If I was outside and they so happen to be walking up the hill to the park or beyond it was always pleasantries “Slim you better be practicing boy, such and such said you can play but until I see it you trash” My pops wasn’t to big on outsiders or riff raff so I kept the conversation short and sweet.

I eventually found my self knowing the coalition of pushers and they knew me, never within any illegality but just in passing they always gave me encouragement to not be a loser and to continue with my pursuit of athletics and education. As time progressed a few things changed involving our relationships, ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— certain situations I cannot speak about even within this week of heartfelt honest web loggings.

Around my conclusion of secondary education I started to see some of the harsh realities of the lifestyles that some of my peers and neighbors had chosen. When the plain vans slowly pull there tires onto those yards and the officers of citizen protection proceeded to make quick and intense bolts from inside the back of those cramped vans and convey with weaponry and heavy artillery upon that particular plot of land, I started to see that the fruits of thine neighbors labor were now in jeopardy of being all in vain. On this day there werent any chances to exchange the usual pleasantries in passing because I had observed and continued my walk on home and they were a bit pre occupied with company.

Now as an adult to now see the same pushers that you looked up to and once marveled at be addicted to the power that they once pushed has to be my biggest eye opener. To not be able to recognize the human who once exuded the confidence and brashness within his stance. To now face a mere man of junk, who might ask for a financial offering for bus fare when the buses have long ended there run for that day. This reality really sorrows me, we are not perfect people but the choices we make are key within how we can fulfill our short time upon this earth.
